Media Roundup: Friday Morning

Just thought I'd summarize some of the articles out there regarding the inauguration. Here we go!

  • Many of the papers are trying to give a visitor's guide to Washington. Some are better than most. The Wall Street Journal's lists some museums and restaurants, but there is nothing for the DC-native that seems to be that spectacular.
  • The Los Angeles Times has a nice photo gallery of what to wear to some of the more unusual Inaugural Balls. Yes, there's a Pajama Ball this year. Dress Code: "Pajamas or black tie / nightgown or ball gown." The ball benefits a nonprofit that gives sleep clothes to kids in need.
  • Some news on the inaugural speech. Politico is reporting that the president-elect received some inspiration from the Lincoln memorial and has at least three drafts behind him at this point.
  • The BBC is running a story this morning relating how Kenyan officials have come to Washington but will probably end up having to watch the festivities from their hotel room on television.
